EVERY STUDENT DESERVES ACCESS TO HIGHER EDUCATION
The Equity Center will host college access parties across the Charlottesville area designed to increase student access to higher education.
On November 13-14th, 2019, high school juniors, seniors, recent graduates, and their families will be able to receive support directly in their local neighborhoods. Advisors will be on-site to help families gain access to money for college by completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA®). Students and family members will also receive information and guidance on how to complete a college essay in ways that strengthen the college application packet.
Attendees will get help completing the FAFSA forms and help understanding the process.
Attendees will also get help drafting a winning college essay.
We will have food, fast internet, and more.
Cost: This event is free
Food: Light food will be free. Dietary preferences can be requested on the registration form with adherence to registration deadlines.
FASFA/College Application Parties will be held in local Charlottesville neighborhoods on two separate days and at seven different locations!
